Mercy Health invests in Cincinnati software firm to cut costs

Mercy Health has taken an equity stake in local software startup ReadySet Surgical. The Catholic hospital system hopes to lower costs by using the software to improve the efficiency of its operating rooms.

Cincinnati-based Mercy, which is the largest hospital system in Ohio, has been piloting ReadySet software since November at Mercy Health-Fairfield Hospital. The software is designed to ensure medical equipment required for an operation is available.
