Sketch on napkin leads to Cincinnati Children’s spinning out new company

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center today launched a new company, Xact Medical, to commercialize a system that uses robotics and ultrasound to guide a needle tip to a precise location in the body.
The Fast Intelligent Needle Delivery system, or FIND, began with sketch on the back of a napkin in 2012. It quickly progressed from an idea to a prototype.
