Several organizations are coming together to host the city’s first Medical Capital Innovation Competition in April touting $100,000 in prizes as incentives for professionals and collegiate teams to participate in the “All Things Data in Healthcare” two-day event.
The April 25-26 event, held at the HIMSS Innovation Center in downtown Cleveland, plans to focus on a major shift in healthcare innovation. An industry that used to be dominated by medical devices and pharmaceutical advancements is now being driven by healthcare IT and software services, especially with advancements made in the Internet of Things, health-tech wearables, tele-health and electronic medical records.
