Former Mount Carmel CEO working with VC firm to advise health IT startups

Claus von Zychlin, the retired CEO of Mount Carmel Health System, has started advising technology startups on health-care “disruptions” that actually improve the industry.

Venture capital firm Tamarind Hill LLC has hired von Zychlin as executive in residence – on part-time retainer to consult with startups and in some cases join their boards. He also will draw on his contacts throughout the Midwest health-care industry, whether as potential customers or to provide product feedback.
