Fast-growing Cincinnati startup Astronomer has raised a $3.5 million round of venture capital financing to help it continue its breakneck pace of expansion.
Astronomer, which taps into the white-hot data analytics market by mining and preparing data for companies to use to improve their businesses, raised $2.5 million in equity and another $1 million in debt financing. Locally based seed capital investor CincyTech co-led the financing round along with San Francisco-based Wireframe Ventures. Several other venture capital funds, including one from the United Kingdom, also invested.
