ViewRay’s latest machine in use in Detroit

ViewRay Inc. (Nasdaq: VRAY) of Oakwood Village announced Thursday, July 20, that the first cancer patients have been treated with its MRIdian Linac system, a MRI-guided radiation therapy system with linear accelerator-based delivery.

ViewRay announced earlier this year that it had received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market the MRIdian Linac, the company’s second generation system that built on the success of its first system, used to treat more than 1,500 patients, according to the release.

The latest generation was used for patients at Henry Ford Health System in the Detroit area.
