The co-founder of a Cincinnati startup that developed an electronic patch to test sweat for everything from hydration to the presence of drugs has developed new technology to aid in the analysis of sweat.

Jason Heikenfeld is a professor at the University of Cincinnati and co-founder of Eccrine Systems, a tech startup that uses small patches the size of an adhesive bandage to analyze sweat. Eccrine Systems was founded in 2013 and has raised more than $7 million in venture capital thus far and partnered with the Air Force on monitoring combat readiness in pilots
