A group aimed to support biotech startups in the Dayton area will launch a venture to promote clinical research as well.

Ascend Innovations, the group that helps bring health care technology developed in the area to market, is expanding with a new organization, Ascend Clinical Research LLC. The project, developed with Dayton-based Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association and Cincinnati-based Kaleidoscope, will provide research support to medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
