Cincinnati startup called Ohio’s ‘most valuable’

A Cincinnati company was named Ohio’s most valuable venture-backed startup by a Seattle-based data and research company that specializes in venture capital, private equity, and mergers and acquisitions.

PitchBook called Cincinnati-based Everything but the House (EBTH) Ohio’s most valuable venture-backed startup. The online estate sale auction house has raised $84.5 million in venture capital to date.

EBTH sends a team to the home of someone who is downsizing or wanting to sell a collection of items to catalog, photograph and list the items for auction on its website. Once items sell, the customer gets a check for the proceeds less EBTH’s 40 percent commission.
