Founder Story: Virtual Education Systems
Virtual Education Systems (VES) in Wilmington, Ohio, uses virtual reality to provide enhanced experiential job training for emergency medical personnel. The company’s technology immerses trainees in a 3D experience where they encounter patients and make choices to drive their care. The VES system offers eight lifelike avatars in different environments, which the students interact with while wearing a headset. They work through a range of scenarios, allowing them to take their experience with VES straight into the real world and apply what they’ve learned to offer the best treatment possible to patients. VES received financial support and mentorship from Rev1 Ventures and CincyTech, both regional partners of Ohio Third Frontier.
