Inventor Tom Burden landed a deal with three of Shark Tank’s deep-pocketed investors that values his invention startup at $1.2 million.

The former fighter-jet mechanic has sold more than 20,000 of his Grypmat non-skid tool mats in aviation circles and is seeking wider distribution in auto-parts stores. His pitch on the ABC show aired Sunday.
