Mark Kvamme says he’s bet his career on the rise of the Midwest.

Kvamme, co-founder and partner in Drive Capital, is a one-time leader in the Silicon Valley venture capital scene before setting his sights on the Midwest, setting up the $250 million venture fund based in the Short North with partners Andy Jenks, Nick Solaro and Chris Olsen.

The economy is shifting yet again as another wave of technology radically changes how people live. It’s up to Central Ohio and the larger Midwest to use that to its advantage and build its technology economy, he said in a keynote at the Economic Development 411 conference at Ohio State University on Friday.
