CrossChx raises additional $5M as sales start to take off for health-care admin bot

CrossChx Inc. has raised an additional $5 million even as it makes millions of dollars in sales on its latest product pivot, which the company believes finally is its true north.

The Columbus tech company working to build “the internet of health care” has signed 50 hospitals and larger health systems, including Nationwide Children’s Hospital, to use Olive – a “bot” driven by artificial intelligence to complete tedious administrative tasks.

The goal is to triple to 150 customers by the end of next year, CEO Sean Lane said.

“Olive was created because of what we were hearing in the market,” he said. “It took about a year to build. The feedback has been amazing.”
