City partnering with Cincinnati tech community on transit

The city of Cincinnati is partnering with the local tech community to help make it simpler to travel within the city.

The city hosted a kick-off session at Union Hall – the hub for all things startup in Cincinnati that also serves as the headquarters of Cintrifuse, CincyTech and the Brandery – on Jan. 5 to seek buy-in from tech companies to help with what it’s calling a transportation service providers aggregation tool.

What’s behind that name is an effort to bring together the city’s disparate transportation apps under one roof and use the multitude of data produced by all manner of transportation – from buses to the Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar to Red Bike – to help people get around the city more easily.
