After several years of planning, a project focused on city and countywide economic development and fueling the entrepreneurial spirit among not only students at Ohio Wesleyan University, but also residents of the City of Delaware and Delaware County, is nearing fruition.
On Monday, Delaware City Council heard the first reading of an ordinance authorizing City Manager R. Thomas Homan to enter into a joint venture agreement with the county commissioners and OWU for creation of the long-awaited Delaware Entrepreneurial Center.
Homan said the center is a project the city has worked diligently on since the results of the 2015 Community Attitudes Survey were revealed.
