Mail-order pharmacy with proprietary flat packaging raises $3.7M

A startup running a mail-order pharmacy for self-insured employers and physician practices, with in-house software and prescription packaging, has raised $3.65 million, according to a regulatory filing.

Direct Scripts LLC, founded in 2014, is an affiliate of and is based at Columbus’ EG Industries. Its pharmacy is located in Las Vegas, using proprietary vials made by another EGI affiliate.

Two investors participated in the round that began this month, according to a Form D filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The form does not indicate that the company is raising more money. I’ve left messages with EGI President Larry Jutte, a director for Direct Scripts, and addresses I could find for its other principals.
