Cincinnati Internet-of-Things startup raises $5M in round joined by AOL co-founder Steve Case

A Cincinnati startup that helps companies take advantage of data produced by their workers, machines and facilities is among the first to receive investment from AOL co-founder Steve Case’s new fund.

Losant, founded by Cincinnati startup veterans Charlie Key and Brandon Cannaday, raised a $5.2 million Series A round led by Queen City seed-stage startup investor CincyTech. The round was joined by Rise of the Rest Seed fund, a $150 million fund led by Case and J.D. Vance.
