Almost overnight, Cincinnati has been receiving unprecedented acclaim in the national media.
The Queen City was ranked fifth of 10 U.S. destinations this month in travel guidebook Lonely Planet’s “2018 Best in the U.S.” American Express Essentials put it on its 2018 “Hot List.” Multiple articles in the New York Times, Travel and Leisure and others tout Cincinnati as one of the nation’s top destinations.
In October, the Times pointed to Cincinnati’s $143 million Music Hall renovation as a potential model for New York’s now-scrapped, $500 million plan to rehab David Geffen Hall. Also in October, BBC Music Magazine, one of the world’s most read classical music publications, named Cincinnati as a musical destination.
