Accenture names Columbus a digital ‘innovation hub’ as it adds 200 jobs

Accenture Plc has named Columbus one of 14 U.S. innovation hubs for the global IT consulting firm – and is already halfway toward a goal of adding 200 jobs in Columbus by the end of 2020.

Over the past year, Accenture (NYSE:ACN) has hired 100 software engineers and specialists in areas such as artificial intelligence. Its total Central Ohio staff is now at 750, mostly based at client sites. At any one time about 200 work out of the office and innovation center it opened last March in the Arena District’s Buggyworks complex at 400 W. Nationwide Blvd.
