A tissue engineering startup has received its first U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance for a medical device that helps wounds heal without skin grafts.
RenovoDerm LLC’s technology already has been used to help a turtle that was run over regrow its shell. As of this week, it can be used to dress wounds in humans.
