OhioHealth and Nationwide Children’s land Third Frontier funding for commercializing research

OhioHealth Corp. and Nationwide Children’s Hospital were awarded $200,000 each from Ohio Third Frontier toward testing the market viability of in-house discoveries and inventions.

The institutions each provide an equal match to the state bond fund, doubling the funds they can use to help commercialize new health-care products. The grants awarded Thursday are from the program’s technology validation and startup fund, to pay for steps like prototyping.
