Story excerpt provided by Columbus Underground.

Columbus has been ranked yet again as one of the best cities for new college graduates. Personal finance tech company SmartAsset has pulled data from the Census Bureau to rank the top 10 cities in the country, with Columbus in the number one slot.

SmartAsset looked at data related to jobs, affordability and entertainment. Metrics included unemployment rates, number of job listings on Indeed, the concentration of entertainment and dining establishments, population age and median rent costs.

Columbus ranked particularly high in terms of affordability and low unemployment rates: 1.5 percent of bachelor’s degree holders are unemployed, and only 3.8 percent of workers are unemployed overall. Population age is also in Columbus’ favor: 20 percent of all city residents are between the ages of 20 and 29.
