Fast-growing Cincinnati tech firm Clubessential acquires sports streaming service

Cincinnati tech firm Clubessential announced it has acquired an Arizona-based college sports streaming service.
Blue Ash-based Clubessential, which created a platform to help private clubs provide digital services, acquired Phoenix, Ariz.-based Stretch Internet. Stretch Internet developed a streaming video technology that provides high-quality real-time broadcasts of more than 70,000 live college sporting events annually.
Stretch Internet serves more than 40 percent of four-year schools in programs such as the NCAA and NAIA, Clubessential CEO Randy Eckels said in a news release.
