Akron’s Bounce Innovation Hub got a wave of new help this week, as it announced the addition of two “entrepreneurs in residence,” a new director of entrepreneurial services and a new program coordinator.
Douglas Weintraub, who took over as CEO of the business incubator and entrepreneurial support center in March, said the new staff will be important as Bounce begins to grow and fulfill its mission.
“As we continue to build momentum, it’s important that we increase and improve services and programs for our companies and those out in the community,” Weintraub said. “This impressive group of professionals, with their combined experience in the startup space, helps further solidify Bounce’s position as the center for entrepreneurial activities in Akron and surrounding counties. If you have an idea you can grow into a company, they will help you get there,” he added.
Two of the new people — Michael Haritakis and Victoria Tifft — are entrepreneurs with experience in starting and running local companies, Bounce said in announcing the additions.
