Greater Cincinnati tech company to deploy ‘everywhere Wi-Fi’ to 25 cities

A fast-growing broadband company has partnered with one of the largest electric power holding companies in the U.S. to fulfill its promise of gigabit-speed Wi-Fi in public spaces across Greater Cincinnati.

Covington-based Viaggi Broadband, which in 2017 launched its “fiber over air” home internet service, will use lighting assets from Charlotte, N.C.-based Duke Energy Corp. (NYSE: DUK) to deploy 5G microwave antennas throughout the Queen City. Dubbed the “Everywhere Network,” Viaggi plans to expand secured Wi-Fi to subscribers in 25 cities throughout the U.S. and in parts of Canada and Europe within the next 36 to 60 months.
