Canvasses featuring the faces of children who have rare genetic diseases adorn the entrance wall at Abeona Therapeutics.
From its office in the MidTown Tech Park in Cleveland’s Health-Tech Corridor, Abeona’s 50 employees work to find cures for diseases such as Epidermolysis Bullosa and Sanfilippo Syndrome, which affect 1 in 20,000 and 1 in 70,000 babies born, respectively. They’re completing clinical trials now and hope to commercialize their treatments soon.
