Ohio Innovation Fund, the $40 million Columbus venture capital firm backed by three state universities, is nearing its 12th investment in just over two years.
There’s no shortage of investable startups in the state, Managing Director Bill Baumel said. The challenge, he said, is finding CEOs experienced at growing tech companies to a massive scale, and encouraging founders to think big – going for a chunk of a billion-dollar market, for example.
