Two powerful forces of innovation in Northeast Ohio are coming together to host a hackathon-style competition to identify promising ideas related to transportation.

Akron-based Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. (NASDAQ: GT) and the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University on Friday, Aug. 24, announced they are sponsoring an event called The Goodyear Innovation Challenge.
