Startup sports app connects fantasy leagues and nonprofits

Matt Golis led a Silicon Valley-based tech company valued at over $500 million, but quit that gig at Yapstone to return to Columbus.

But Golis is anything but idle. He now is CEO of DraftMates, a fundraising app powered by fantasy sports.

“What we are doing is actually a contrast from regular fantasy – rather than gambling, it raises money for nonprofits,” he said.
