JumpStart teams up with Canton on city’s innovation district

Cleveland-based JumpStart Inc. is partnering with Canton as the Stark County city moves forward with its innovation district, which hopes to attract tech companies.

Canton City Council on Monday, Oct. 1, approved legislation that finalizes the district’s funding of $266,000 a year. Canton’s development fund will provide $75,000 per year; JumpStart, $52,000; Ohio’s Third Frontier network, $99,000; and the Stark Community Foundation, $40,000, according to a JumpStart spokesman.
