When you think of startup unicorns valued at more than $1 billion, a sneaker company might not come to mind. But a trendy footwear company just joined the Silicon Valley unicorn ranks, and it has a surprising Cincinnati connection.
Allbirds is the latest startup to be valued at more than $1 billion, raising a $50 million Series C round that the Wall Street Journal reports puts the company’s valuation at $1.4 billion. That’s going to make some Cincinnati companies a lot of money.
