No longer headline news, Cleveland continues to generate headlines as a tourism destination

Four years ago, Cleveland was named one of Travel + Leisure magazine’s best places to visit in 2015, a rare mention in a national publication touting the city’s nascent tourism appeal. I wrote a story about the accolade, which appeared on the front page of the Plain Dealer.

Last month, the city was the focus of a glowing travel piece from the Daily Mail, the second-largest newspaper in Great Britain, which praised Cleveland’s “unaffected, genuine enthusiasm and warmth that’s infectious and impossible to manufacture.”
