With 265 wineries in Ohio, it can be challenging to decide where to begin. To help our readers navigate all the selections, our website, BusinessJournalDaily.com, has launched the Northeast Ohio Wine Trails section.
Throughout 2018, we visited wineries in the Grand River Valley viticulture area as well as those in the Mahoning Valley. We learned the history of the long-standing family-owned wineries in Ashtabula and Lake counties that have made wine for generations, and we met the vintners who are honing their craft in Lake Milton, Berlin Center, Canfield and Columbiana. We talked to the people who drive Ohio’s wine industry that’s gaining prominence on the national and international stage, including being a part of the Pinot Noir belt.
