Smart Columbus picks local startup to build trip-planning app with mobile payments
Smart Columbus selected a local startup to build an app for consumers to choose among options to get to a destination, such as combining rideshare, COTA and a even a scooter. Eventually it would include in-app payment for any of those services.
Mtech Solutions LLC of Columbus was chosen from among 18 bidders, including large companies such as smart mobility offshoots of Ford Motor Co. and Siemens. City Council is expected to vote Monday on awarding a contract for as much as $900,000.
