Blockland Solutions Conference aims to prepare Northeast Ohio to become a blockchain leader

Boosters believe the upcoming Blockland Solutions Conference will prepare Northeast Ohio for a technological – and economic – revolution.

The four-day event, which kicks off Saturday at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, is meant to inspire entrepreneurs and show the region how to become a hub for blockchain, databases that are shared and protected across a decentralized computer network. If this much-ballyhooed local blockchain initiative takes off, proponents say, the resulting flow of tech talent and innovators into the region could boost the economy, improve the tax base and create jobs.
