Valley Growth Ventures, a $6 million micro-cap venture capital fund that seems to be the first and only fund of its kind both based in and primarily focused on the Mahoning Valley, has invested in three companies through its inaugural year of 2018, setting the tone for future deals.
The businesses it has partnered with are MedaSync, an SaaS-firm that helps with the business management of nursing homes; S4 Medical (formerly Sotera Medical Corp.), a medical device company with a primary focus on cardiac procedures; and MedPilot, a firm whose technology-enabled tools help manage hospital bills for both patients and care providers.
