At the work counter of Lilly’s Handmade Chocolates, visitors were enjoying their favorite inhalation therapy and listening to owner Amanda Montague talk about her shop’s recent move out of Tremont. No wistfulness on the private tour, held this fall.
While Montague loved her old space, the new, much smaller shop in Old Brooklyn is a better fit. She no longer wanted to pour drinks for customers and pair them with the 30 or so of her different bonbons. She and her husband and business partner Joshua are parents now. The move means they live closer to home and have more time for making chocolates. Then there are the perks they never expected.
