Ohio State cybersecurity spinoff raises $1.25M round led by OSU-backed VC firm

A cybersecurity spinoff from Ohio State University has raised $1.25 million as it lands first customers for subscription software that human-proofs against breaches by having the safeguards follow the data instead of fence it.

DAtAnchor Inc. embeds cryptosecurity within the data and tracks and controls access – automatically re-encrypting the database if it’s downloaded or otherwise used outside parameters set by the owner.
