Working closely with area hospitals and local community organizations, a Dayton-based health care agency is leading a collaborative effort to gain a better understanding of the drug epidemic and how to improve support channels for those in need.
Ascend Innovations, a digital health firm that specializes in data science, design and research, has teamed up with a variety of local agencies to gather resources around the drug problem in Montgomery County, which saw nearly 5,000 accidental overdose deaths in 2017 — the most in the state of Ohio.
