A Franklinton tech company that seeks to bridge the gap between physicians and daily fitness has received almost $1 million in funding from a group of prominent Columbus investors.
The company, called Prescribe FIT, was founded two years ago to develop technology that allows physicians to connect patients with exercise specialists.
“Thirty four percent of adults are counseled about physical activity in the exam room, but from there the patient is left to leave and find the help on their own,” said Brock Leonti, chief executive officer of Prescribe FIT. “We help them find that support.”
