A Dayton startup has been awarded a six-figure deal to commercialize its technology for the U.S. Department of Defense.
Battle Sight Technologies won a Phase 1 contract at the U.S. Air Force Inaugural Pitch Day competition, which was held this week in New York. The local tech company walked away with $65,000, and will receive an additional $100,000 within the next 90 days.
The $165,000 award will aid in the commercialization of Battle Sight’s next-generation chemiluminescence solutions to enhance communication in low-light and no-light conditions. Its products are marketed to the military, law enforcement and first responders.
