Tech firm innovates insurance from within

Columbus-based Bold Penguin is doing business with some of the largest insurance companies in the United States, including Nationwide and Liberty Mutual. It was founded to make the process of buying and selling commercial insurance faster and easier, and unlike some startups, its technology platform preserves the role of agents rather than cutting them out of the equation. The company has about 80 employees and plans to double that in 2019.
