Cincinnati firm tests app to detect suicide risk

Mason-based Clarigent Health, which is developing a smartphone app to help mental health professionals detect when people are at risk of suicide or violence, is partnering with the Children’s Home of Cincinnati on a pilot study.

The Clarigent app uses artificial intelligence and advanced algorithms to analyze linguistic and vocal characteristics collected during therapy sessions, which during the pilot will involve clients of Children’s Home.
