Why Columbus is an important talent, innovation hub for this Swedish e-payments firm

The Columbus North American headquarters of Klarna Bank AB has emerged as a leadership and innovation hub for the Swedish e-payments company.

Klarna could grow to about 140 employees in Central Ohio, said Michael Rouse, chief commercial officer, during one of his frequent stops in Columbus. He’s based in London, England, but travels among global sites up to three weeks per month.

“Columbus is like our Stockholm,” he said. “It’s the hub of the infrastructure.”
