An OhioHealth Corp. physician’s invention offering an alternative to narcotics for treating pain is one of several inventions backed by the Columbus system’s Innovation Development Fund.
The $5 million fund, launched five years ago, is managed by Rev1 Ventures, the Columbus venture capital promoter and investor.
“Our goal is to help innovators to come up with ideas for healthcare products,” said Chris Willson, director of the OhioHealth Business Incubation Center. “(Physicians) see the problem in the clinic and come up with the solutions. Our office helps them move that solution forward.”
