Headquartered in Dublin, the team at Healthy Roster is trying to change the way young athletes deal with injury. The central Ohio startup was founded in 2015, and helps athletes track injuries, seek treatment and get in touch with doctors. Along with co-founders Nathan Heerdt and Shawn Price, Dan Fronczak, a former television sports anchor, created Healthy Roster after his experience with his own kids’ athletic careers. The company offers a mobile app and treatment kiosks that allow athletes, parents and coaches to reach medical providers remotely. As they’ve grown, Healthy Roster has received support from Rev1 Ventures, a central Ohio partner of Ohio Third Frontier, and took part in Rev1’s Concept Academy. Now, they hope to alter the sports medicine field while growing their nationwide reach.
