Cincinnati venture capital firm raises $200 million fund
River Cities Capital Funds has raised a $200 million fund, matching the largest fund in the company’s 25-year history.
Downtown-based River Cities wrapped up raising capital for its sixth fund in early August after a two-year process, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. The fund matches River Cities’ fifth fund, which it finished raising in 2014.
“The timing was right for fund six,” River Cities managing director Dan Fleming told me. “We had a five-year initial investment period on fund five and we filled that portfolio with 17 companies.
