A Cincinnati startup company has raised $5.7 million in a seed funding round a year after revamping its business model.
Over-the-Rhine-based Astronomer, which develops systems that help companies manage the flow of data, raised the money in a round led by well-known Silicon Valley early-stage venture capital firm Sierra Ventures. Cincinnati-based venture capital investors CincyTech and Refinery Ventures participated in the round along with Bain Capital Ventures, Frontline Capital Ventures, Wireframe Ventures and Grand Ventures.
