BoxCast, a Cleveland company that provides live video streaming services for a variety of businesses, teams and other organizations, has strengthened its position in one category — churches — with the acquisition of a Pompano Beach, Fla., company called Sunday Streams.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. But BoxCast said in a news release that the acquisition enables it “to continue to fulfill its core purpose to make people part of the experience and further demonstrates it is a dominant player in the worship streaming market.” BoxCast said in the release that current Sunday Streams customers “will benefit from a better live streaming experience with advanced scheduling, automated streaming, live transcoding, simulcasting to more destinations, Live DVR” and other BoxCast platform features.
