Fast-growing Bold Penguin acquires insuretech competitor

Bold Penguin Inc. has acquired a technology platform for the business insurance market.

The Columbus insuretech firm acquired Reston, Virginia-based Xagent, a platform for companies to quote and bind property and casualty insurance, for an undisclosed amount. The company said the deal will help it scale its commercial insurance tools for insurance carriers, brokers and agents.
